Israel, the U.S., and November

This is the number one reason why I believe the news from the Mid-East peace talks has been quiet recently, and will continue to be quiet for the next 7-8 weeks.

The future of the peace process

The coming days should produce quite a bit of interesting news about the peace process due to the end of the settlement slow down in the West Bank. It is possible several scenarios could play out, but two in particular are interesting.

1. The peace process could entirely break down. With tensions at an all time high in the region already this could further hasten a military clash between Israel and Lebanon and Syria.

2. The current U.S. administration could begin to pressure Israel to halt construction in the West Bank. In my opinion, it is doubtful they would place too much pressure on Israel this close to the November elections. However, once the elections are over I would not be surprised to see the pressure increased.

In my mind the concerning scenario is number two. We do not want to find ourselves in the position as a nation of placing pressure on Israel to surrender their God-given land.

Here is a recent article on the end of the slow down.

Psalm 83 conditions taking shape

Conditions in the Middle East continue to trend in a direction that could bring about the fulfillment of Psalm 83 and possible Isaiah 17:1. One article in particular I found interesting is the following one in which a U.S. analyst breaks down possible war scenarios.

What I found particularly interesting was his statement that a war between Israel and Lebanon could come to include Syria. This would bring the nations involved in Psalm 83 into play, as well as Damascus from Isaiah 17:1.

Jordan's king warns of war by year in

The king of Jordan is warning that a war between Israel and the Palestinians is possible by year's end. He hinges his opinion of this what happens with the settlement freezes.

U.N. Looking to increase it's role

According to the following article the U.N. is looking to increase its role in the world. Could this be another building block in the future one-world-government controlled by the Antichrist?

Rosh Hashanah

Tomorrow at Sundown (sundown in Jerusalem will be approx noon EDT in the U.S.) the Jewish feast of Rosh Hashanah begins. This is the celebration of the Jewish new year.

Also, it is the beginning of the season on the Jewish calendar known as the "Days of Awe." This takes place the ten days between the beginning of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement.) The Days of Awe are a time for introspection and repentance.

It is interesting to study the symbolism and foreshadowing of the rapture in the feast of Rosh Hashanah.

Peace talks to start in Washington D.C. tomorrow

Please keep Israel in your prayers as peace talks are to start between Israel and the Palestinians tomorrow. I find the following article interesting.

It seems interesting to me that the hurricane is set to make land on the same day the peace talks start.
